DIRECTOR

Ayoka Chenzira is an Emmy-nominated filmmaker, pioneering voice in independent cinema, and a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Her work spans feature films, animation, and episodic television.

Her television directing credits include Queen Sugar (OWN), Trinkets (Netflix), A League of Their Own (Amazon/Sony), Kindred (FX/Hulu), Dynasty (CW), and Beacon 23 (MGM). Her feature film work includes the award-winning Alma's Rainbow, recently restored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Upcoming work includes Joseph of Egypt (Amazon), scheduled for release in 2027.
